Baby Names
It’s morning 34 of my pregnancy by my count. I wake up every morning feeling like I’m starving half to death, but at the same time I’m so excited about having this baby, God willing, that I can’t wait to get going. I want to get through each day quickly. People keep telling me the pregnancy will fly by, and maybe it’s because I’m so tired I often feel like I’m walking through water, but it seems like the baby can’t develop fast enough. I can’t wait to see what I’ve got growing inside me. I’m incredible happy!
Maybe I should take my time and savor each moment because things will start moving fast enough. I don’t know. It’s hard to want things to go slower when suffering from acid reflux, fatigue, frequent potty breaks and many other symptoms. But I don’t have morning sickness, just lactose intolerance. As long as I don’t consume dairy, I feel pretty good. So really, what do I have to complain about?
Yesterday I was looking at names online. I found some particularly atrocious ones (in my opinion of course). Go ahead. Add Ainslie to the end.

I’ll have to update this later. There are names I like, but I’m not sharing my choices because I’ve already had a bad experience with sharing. Anyway, here is one name that came up that I actually liked but would never use:
Cricket
Yes, little Cricket Ainslie. Nathan and I agree it would have to be a name for a girl, but it seems like more of a nickname to me than anything else? A child growing up with the name Cricket might be expected to have a high vertical, play the violin, and chirp or whine more than crying. Also, her legs would be disproportionately long compared to the rest of her body.
I’d like to keep a running list of names, so anyone reading this please submit names you do and don’t like, along with the meanings if you know them.
Well, now I have to babysit and get lots of practice changing stinky diapers.
